I successfully downloaded a couple of movies but when I try to play them on my PC they won’t work for some reason…

Answer: You may be missing the codec for the files or they may have been corrupted while downloading. We recommend that you use VLC media player which should play movies without any codecs and it’s one way to test if you have a codec problem. You need to do the following:

  1. Download VLC media Player from the Help section of our website.
  2. Install.
  3. Run VLC.
  4. Click File, and then choose Open File.
  5. Click the Browse button at the top right of the Open dialog box that opens.
  6. Choose the file you would like to play and either double click it or click Open.
  7. Enjoy the movie.

I have downloaded some movies. But where are they? I can’t find the movie I downloaded on my PC even though the message said the download was complete. How do I get to them?

Answer: Whatever software you used to download movies, it asked where you want them saved before download began. To find a missing file, you can try using the Search feature located under the Start menu in Windows or the Finder feature on a Mac computer. If you fail to find files on your computer, please download them again from the History.

I am a little frustrated with your whole download procedure. Is it normal that the downloading process took me 3 hours to download! Please advise.

Answer: A normal movie takes only about 60 to 120 minutes. Download time depends on the size of the file, your equipment and the speed of your Internet connection. We strongly recommend that you use FlashGet or Folx download manager which you can find in the Help section of the website. It will give you better speed and it will be able to resume downloads if they stall.

How do I burn your films on CD\DVDs?

Answer: There are many different software programs you can use to copy a movie to a CD\DVD. When you burn files on DVD using Nero, burn them as regular data files, do not choose “DVD Video” media type when asked. Use “ISO DVD” or “Data DVD” instead. Your player must support MPEG4/DivX/XviD video playback.

Movies don’t have sound! What’s wrong?

Answer: One of the most common reasons for audio missing from playback with files is that the audio is in AC3 format and you do not have an AC3 Filter installed. If you are running Microsoft Windows 98SE, Me, 2000, XP, 2003 or Vista, please download and install the codec pack from the Help section of the website (free of charge). If you happen to be a Mac user, you have to update the Perian components for QuickTime which you can also find in the Help section.

The movie consists of three parts. How can I merge them into a single file?

Answer: You can merge two or more video files together using VirtualDub, a freeware program available here: http://virtualdub.org/ You can also use video player that supports play lists (VLC, LigtAlloy). Home video players switch between files automatically if files are in the same folder.

I want to watch movies on my iPod. What do I need to do?

Answer: If you want to watch movies only on your iPod, iPhone or BlackBerry, you’d better choose an iPod movie version which is an MP4 file, otherwise you’ll have to convert DVD, DivX, PDA and Hi-Def versions manually for them to be playable on your portable device.
